Jack W. Lurton, III

Jack W. Lurton III is an AV-rated partner in Beggs & Lane’s litigation group.  He practices in the areas of commercial and civil litigation with a focus on medical malpractice.  He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of matters, including personal injury, contract disputes, products liability, class actions, and professional licensure disputes.

Jack has tried medical malpractice, personal injury, wrongful death, and products liability cases in Florida, Alabama, and New Jersey.  He also represents physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners with licensure disputes before their respective professional boards.  He has briefed and argued appellate issues before Florida’s First District Court of Appeals.

Jack was raised in Pensacola.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honors from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.  He received his Juris Doctorate Degree with Honors from the University of Florida College of Law in Gainesville, Florida.  While in law school, Jack received the Ronald A. David Book Award in Torts and the Professor Emeritus Hayford O. Enwall Memorial Book Award in Trial Practice.

Jack is a member of the Florida Bar and the Alabama Bar.  He is licensed to practice before all state courts in Florida and Alabama.  He is also licensed before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Florida, as well as the Middle and Southern Districts of Alabama.
