Terrie L. Didier
Terrie L. Didier is a partner in the law firm of Beggs & Lane. Ms. Didier focuses her practice on state and federal appellate matters, construction litigation and arbitration, and insurance litigation representing homeowners in the wake of hurricanes, fires, sinkholes, and other disasters. She has represented many homeowners and homeowner associations, securing millions of dollars in benefits for her clients.
Ms. Didier provides a unique “Insurance Review” service for individual homeowners and homeowner associations regarding their property insurance so that homeowners and associations are prepared before a disaster strikes. Ms. Didier reviews the policies and prepares a report noting gaps in coverage and generally explaining the coverage provided in the policies. The packet of information provided to the homeowner or association as part of the Insurance Review includes tips about what to do before a loss and what to do after a loss, tips when hiring a contractor, and a household and personal property inventory form. Pictures of the home/condominium are taken to document the structure as it exists before a disaster strikes. The pictures along with copies of the policies are stored electronically by Beggs & Lane so that when disaster strikes, the homeowner or association is prepared to make and document a claim.
Ms. Didier was born in Indiana, but raised all over the country in a military family. She graduated from the University of West Florida, magna cum laude, in 1990, and the Florida State University College of Law, with honors, in 1993. Ms. Didier served as a law clerk to the Honorable Peter D. Webster of Florida’s First District Court of Appeal for nine years before joining Beggs & Lane in 2002.
Ms. Didier is licensed to practice law in all Florida state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida, and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Ms. Didier is a member of the Appellate Practice Section of the Florida Bar.
