Jeffrey A. Stone
Jeffrey A. Stone, a native of Pensacola, Florida, has more than 28 years legal experience. He is a Partner in the firm and represents clients in connection with Energy and Utility Litigation, Energy Regulation and Transactions, Corporate and Securities matters, and State Governmental Relations. Mr. Stone practices in Pensacola and Tallahassee, Florida. He serves as General Counsel for Gulf Power Company, a subsidiary of The Southern Company. Over the course of his career, he has represented clients in a wide variety of regulatory, transactional and litigated matters. These include being directly responsible for numerous proceedings before the Florida Public Service Commission involving various rate and tariff filings, certification of new facilities, fuel clauses and other cost recovery mechanisms, audits and rulemakings. In addition to his involvement in regulatory proceedings, Mr. Stone has assisted clients in the negotiation and development of various contractual arrangements. He also provides ongoing advice and counsel in connection with a variety of corporate matters. Mr. Stone has successfully handled a number of appellate proceedings associated with regulatory matters and has also been involved in civil and criminal litigation and arbitration involving contract disputes, personal injury and other issues.
